Location and Ground
In the mount Othrys region, on a rugged, sandy, steeply inclined and excellently drained ground, where the grape crop is of a medium size, yet of a high quality. The main contributing factor is that the natural mineral potential of the ground has not been depleted by methods of very intensive agriculture.
Greek Oak Barrels
The barrels are manufactured in Metsovo, by traditional craftsmen using Greek oak wood. The Greek oak makes the wine less intense, by nurturing a more delicate and more ripe full flavor compared to the typical commonly used French oak.
In 2015, Russaswine Organic Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah was awarded the gold medal amongst 5,000 wine labels. The Berliner Wine Trophy Contest is the biggest wine contest in the world, and the most important challenge for wine makers in Germany, sponsored by OIV.

In 1998, we chose the “Vrahos” region in mount Othrys, to create our family vineyard. The site is called “Prossilio” (Sun-bathed). It is located on a 400 m altitude and it is known for its steep inclination and its sandy and rugged, well drained ground. The conditions contribute to a medium-sized, yet high-quality crop
